I will be the first to say, I am not the biggest steamed broccoli fan. I don’t feel as though there is enough flavor and it is too bland. Luckily, I figured out a way to amp up my broccoli game while keeping it healthy. Parmesan cheese is a very versatile cheese that you can really do a lot with, so why not add it to broccoli?!
When I was a young kid, I was that typical kid who wouldn’t eat her vegetables. They were just so boring! I have a palette that needs to be satisfied, and I would not settle until I was. I was pretty much a parent’s nightmare when it came to eating at a young age, because I was just so picky.
I did not eat meat, vegetables, milk, and pretty much everything else that was good for me. Luckily, as I got older, I gained more of an appreciation for different foods and now I am a meat loving, vegetable eating human being. I still don’t drink milk but that is a whole other story.
This recipe is so simple, yet still so healthy. It gives another way to eat vegetables rather than making them the same way every single time.
Adding the extra flavors will take you about three more minutes than it would usually take to prepare vegetables so no excuses!!!
I always suggest fresh over frozen when it comes to vegetables, so for this recipe, a fresh head of broccoli is definitely the way to go. Definitely try this recipe, it is simple and adds some variety to your home meals.
