Honey Hot Shrimp

Football Sundays are one of my favorite times of the week.  I have been searching and searching for a new recipe to wow my guests with during our football watch parties.  Shrimp is also one of my favorite foods to cook with so I figured, why not? Might as well go big and create a recipe that is guaranteed too pack a punch on your table for your next party.

I am a sucker for anything fried.  Fried shrimp was my go to order as a kid, so this is the perfect snack to satisfy my cravings.  I made these on a random night at home, just for fun, within five minutes, they were all gone, I barely even got to have any!  But I will tell you, what I did have left me  wanting more.

One trick I have learned with frying, is to “double dip” the item you are frying in the milk mixture and breading both twice.  In this case, the item being fried is the shrimp.  I put the shrimp in the milk mixture first, and then move to the breading mixture.  From there, I go back into the milk, and then apply one more coating in the breading mixture.  I have found that this technique works a lot better  for me, especially when frying fish.

This recipe does have a little kick to it, so to quiet the spices down, I suggest Marie’s Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing on the side.  It is the perfect dipping sauce when combined with the Honey Hot Shrimp.

Share this recipe with the whole family! I promise you, it will not disappoint!
