Eight Stocking Stuffers for Dogs

As we all know, the holidays are approaching faster than the speed of light.  It is now time to fit in all of that last minute shopping!  During all of the hustle and bustle, make sure one of the most important members of your family doesn’t get looked over.  Your dog.

Since this is Brindle’s first Christmas, I intend to make it one she will never forget, so I got her a bone shaped stocking, decorated it all nice for her, and bought her a Christmas sweater! And she rocks it!

Horrible quality picture, but I have to share her looking adorable with you all!

You’re probably thinking, what could I possibly get my dog for the holidays?! Well I am here to help! Here are my ten stocking stuffers for your pup!

1. Tennis Balls

You can NEVER have enough tennis balls for your dog.  Especially when you have a Pit bull like I do and she tears them up within 20 minutes.  I just cannot find myself to deny her of one of her favorite toys to play with! Luckily, they can be extremely cheap.  I suggest buying in bulk.  Chances are, you’re going to need a lot anyway, so no point in buying a few and then forcing yourself to run back to the store to buy more every week!  Instead, buy multiple packs of tennis balls together, it is going to save you in the long run!

They are also the perfect size to fit into your dog’s stocking! This is a small gift, that will get a lot of love from your furry friend!

2. Bones

Bones, bones, bones, we can never seem to have enough bones for our dogs! Although they are just a treat, sometimes I find myself wishing I had extras in the house.  Especially during the holidays when family is coming over and you need to be able to keep your dog occupied for HOURS! Some bones are better than others but the one I highly suggest is the Benebone.  I wrote a lot about this bone in my article Five Toys For Big Chewers, so click the link if you want to find out more about this AMAZING bone! Brindle cannot get enough of this one!

3. Christmas Sweater

Christmas sweaters
for dogs are becoming extremely popular and I know exactly why….it is ADORABLE! Who doesn’t love a dog dressed as a reindeer or santa! Or even just a simple plaid one! There are so many to choose from and they are all just too cute.  There are also so many different sizes available, so there is a sweater out there for every dog.

4. Homemade Treats

Dogs LOVE treats, as all us dog owners know.  Make it a little cheaper, and a little more fun, on yourself by making your own!  There are tons of recipes that are dog friendly!  I even featured a dog Christmas cookie you can check out! You can see this on my post Christmas Cookie Dog Treats!

5. Collar

You love to get new clothes, so why not get your dog a new collar?  The company, Blueberry, offers some adorable designs perfect for any dog.  You can pick from solid colors, aztec designs, plaid designs, paisley designs and  so many more, the options are endless! The best part is, a  collar easily fits in your dogs stocking!

6. Their own blanket

Dogs get cold too! Brindle loves to lay on top of a blanket, and I always keep one on her bed to comfort her.  How much more special is it though when your dog has their own? Their own blanket special to them!  I have had my baby blankets since the day I was born and they have a special place in my heart, so why not give your dog their own special keepsake this holiday season!

7. Their own ornament for the Christmas tree

This holiday season, I invested in a special ornament for Brindle.  She got to place her own paw print on an ornament for her first Christmas.  She loves having her own special touch.  It is a drop dead adorable addition to your tree and is also extremely special for everyone in the family!

8. New toys

As a kid, toys were my entire Christmas list and I was always so excited to open them all up and play with them on Christmas morning.  When your dog is young, they are kind of like a kid too, so they all want some new toys to try out! If you check out my post, Five Toys For Big Chewers, I have listed a lot of toys that are perfect for bigger dogs.  Whether you get a rope toy, stuffed animal, or even a frisbee, anything new will brighten your dogs day on Christmas morning!

So perfect! My favorite thing is seeing my dog smell her stocking on Christmas morning! We usually fill it with sweaters, treats, a new toy, and bones.
